The vane may be shortened by cutting / removing the number of fins as desired. This can be done at time of installation or by testing the arrows on a target. You’ll find it’s possible to use as much as 1” less vane length.

Gator Vane Fletching
Gator Vanes will fletch in any standard archery-fletching jig. No vane preparation is required. However, quality Cyanoacrylate “instant glue” is recommended.
